Itranox 10mg/ml Solution

Each ml contains 10mg Itraconazole.

Itranox is a fungistatic triazole antifungal used to treat dermatophytosis caused by Microsporum canis, Malassezia dermatitis, and systemic mycoses (e.g., sporotrichosis) in cats.

The oral solution is rapidly absorbed and widely distributed throughout body tissues, reaching maximum plasma concentrations within 2 hours of administration.

- Dermatophytosis: 5 mg/kg once daily for 7 days on alternating weeks, for a total of 3 treatment cycles.
- Sporotrichosis: 10 mg/kg once daily for 2–3 months, continuing for 1 month after clinical cure.
- Malassezia Dermatitis: 5 mg/kg once daily, continuing for 1 week after clinical cure.

Contraindications
- Do not administer to cats with hypersensitivity to itraconazole or any other ingredients.
- Do not administer to cats with impaired liver or kidney function.
- Do not use in pregnant or lactating queens.

Special Precautions
- Common but mild adverse reactions may include vomiting, diarrhoea, anorexia, salivation, and depression.

- Disinfect the environment using appropriate fungicidal products.
- Take care of the underlying skin when clipping hair.
- Wear protective clothing and gloves during clipping.
