Each ml contains:
60mg S-adenosyl-L-methionine (SAMe)
17.5mg Silymarin
5mg L-Leucine
20 IU Vitamin E
LiverGuard Plus is indicated as an adjunctive treatment for liver disease (e.g., chronic hepatitis, hepatic lipidosis, cholangiohepatitis, and feline triaditis), acute hepatotoxin-induced liver toxicity, and for animals receiving long-term therapy with drugs that have hepatotoxic potential. It contains four key ingredients:
- SAMe: Supports drug metabolism and acts as a precursor to glutathione, the liver’s primary antioxidant.
- Silymarin: Provides anti-inflammatory and antioxidant effects, and improves bile flow and secretion.
- L-Leucine: Stimulates protein synthesis and energy production during liver repair and regeneration.
- Vitamin E: Protects liver cells from oxidative damage, reduces inflammation, and prevents tissue scarring.
1. Adjust the syringe dosing ring to the prescribed volume.
2. Slowly depress the plunger to dispense the paste.
3. LiverGuard Plus should be administered on an empty stomach, though it may be hidden in some food if necessary.
4. Dosage can be adjusted according to the animal’s condition.
- Up to 5.9 kg: 1.0 ml daily
- 6–11.9 kg: 1.5 ml daily
- 12–23 kg: 2 ml daily
