It is indicated for the treatment of infections of the soft tissue, alimentary tract, respiratory tract, urogenital tract, secondary bacterial infections, and generalized infections.

Oral amoxicillin is well absorbed and widely distributed throughout body tissues. High doses rarely cause toxicity. The drug is excreted via both bile and urine. When parenteral treatment is required, oral tablets or suspension can be used for follow-up therapy.
