Each ml contains 50mg Povidone-iodine.
Dermodyne is a broad-spectrum bactericidal and fungicidal agent with a short residual effect of approximately 4–6 hours. It provides mild degreasing and debriding properties, making it useful for the management of superficial pyoderma and dermatitis caused by Malassezia spp.
1. Trim or clip dense coats to improve product penetration and ensure even coverage.
2. Wash with a regular shampoo first to remove dirt and organic debris.
3. Shake the bottle well before use.
4. Apply Dermodyne and leave on for 5–10 minutes before rinsing.
5. Use twice weekly, then gradually reduce the frequency as required.
- Avoid contact with the eyes and mouth.
- It is recommended to wear gloves during application.
- Do not use in cats due to the risk of iodine toxicity.
- Removing organic debris from the coat is essential, as it can readily deactivate povidone-iodine.
Side Effects
