Enrolox

Available in the following dosage forms and strengths:

Enrolox 15mg Palatable Tablets
Each palatable tablet contains contains 15mg Enrofloxacin.

Enrolox 50mg Palatable Tablets
Each palatable tablet contains contains 50mg Enrofloxacin.

Enrolox 25mg/ml Suspension
Each ml contains contains 25mg Enrofloxacin.

Enrolox is a bactericidal antibiotic with activity against a broad spectrum of Gram-negative and Gram-positive bacteria. It may be used to treat the following conditions:
- Pyelonephritis and prostatitis: First-choice antimicrobial.
- Superficial bacterial folliculitis: Second-choice antimicrobial, based on susceptibility.
- Respiratory tract infections: Effective against Bordetella bronchiseptica and Mycoplasma spp.
- Enteric infections: Effective for granulomatous colitis and campylobacteriosis.

- Cats: 5 mg/kg; Dogs: 5–20 mg/kg, either as a single dose or divided into two equal daily doses, for at least 2–3 days beyond the resolution of clinical signs. Longer treatment may be required for severe or complicated infections.
- Administer tablets directly or mix with a small amount of food.
- Suspension: Shake well before use.

Contraindications
- Do not exceed the recommended dosage.
- Do not use in animals under 8 weeks of age.
- Avoid use in dogs during the rapid growth phase (2–8 months of age).

Special Precautions
- Fluoroquinolones should be reserved for cases that respond poorly to other antimicrobial classes.
- Exercise caution in animals with severe renal or hepatic impairment.
- Retinal degeneration and irreversible blindness may occur at doses above the recommended level, particularly in cats.
